We have been working on a couple movie production here in southeastern Idaho. Being a resident of Fort Hall and enrolled member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes my interests in movie productions or documentaries is to portray tribal perspectives and non-Indian perspectives on local events, environmental issues, and cultures.

Currently, we are working on two projects. The first project is on mining and the impacts it has on local communities and the environment. We have also been diligently documenting the Bannock Language on video as well. In any case below is some information on our productions. For the mining movie, my plan is to collect as much video and information about the issue as possible over the winter, spring, and summer. I will then put the final video together in a Visual Anthropology Class taught by Liz Cartwright at ISU. As for the Bannock Language vidoes, my hope is compile the work into language learning modules. Not sure when this will be done, more like a project that will contiune as long as I have speakers who are willing to work with me.

If you are interested in donating to Waamuuza Production please send me an email. All donations will be acknowledge in the final video.

Oh yeah, I also posted a video I made last year in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. I would be real interested in hearing from a biologist or someone in the know about what type of howling this is??? I collected this video about 4:00 am while camping in the Grey Hound area along the Middle Fork. This is some spooky howling and some people say it may be bigfoot. At the time I assumed it was an old wolf with a very deep voice. Unfortunately, I only got the last couple of howls. The howls were a lot louder when I first heard them, a rather rude awakening!
