We are currently working on a documentary about environmental contamination, corporate power, conservative politics, tribal sovereignty, and human health risks associated with mining activities in southeastern Idaho. The aim of this movie is explore the need for mineral development and extraction in southeastern Idaho and its impact upon surrounding communities. Questions we seek to answer include:
December 9th 2009: Attended and filmed the Idaho Conservation League Mercury Presentation at the Idaho Museum of Natural History.
December 17, 2009: Power County Commission meeting at Pocatello City Hall to discuss the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes proposed land use and subsurface sewage disposal ordiance. Unfortunately, I got to the meeting late and was only able to get the last hour. However, here is a link to the film completed by the Idaho State Journal.
